From Codependent to Interdependent: Family Constellations with Richard Griffin

  • Center for the Creative Arts 410 Upper Snuff Mill Row Hockessin, DE, 19707 United States (map)

A Family Constellation Enables You To:

  • Make the hidden dynamics in a family visible

  • Uncover unconscious beliefs and patterns that limit you, then see how to move beyond them

  • See inter-generational patterns unfold before your eyes

  • See what can be resolved, and see what resources your ancestors can provide for you

  • Discover new ways of releasing pain, sorrow, or long-held resentments

  • Learn about your own family system by watching or “representing” in another’s constellation

You learned the foundations for all your relational behaviors in childhood. If there was any disruption in your sense of belonging in the family, it is likely that you have unconscious relational patterns that lead to codependence, loneliness, or the repetition of undesired behaviors or choices.

In this workshop, we explore fundamental Family Constellations — a unique approach to well-being, happiness, and fulfillment originally developed by Bert Hellinger. A former Jesuit priest and missionary to the Zulus for 17 years, Hellinger developed this approach incorporating Zulu healing rituals and ceremonies, adding healing modalities from around the world, including art, poetry, movement, visioning, journeying, and psychology. Family Constellations show you how to create healthier relational patterns, whether with your romantic partner, friends, family members, or in your professional life.

So rich it is challenging to define, the approach nevertheless can be easily understood simply by observing a constellation in a group setting. As a workshop attendee, you will benefit from being a client, a representative, a witness/observer, or all three as the day unfolds.
